1. Introduction
At Grozi, your privacy and data sovereignty are our top priorities. In compliance with Google Play Store policies and global data protection standards, you have the absolute right to request the permanent deletion of your account and its associated personal data.
Warning: Reversibility
Account deletion is permanent and completely irreversible. Once your account is deleted, you will not be able to recover your data, past orders, or Wallet balances. You will need to create a brand new account to use Grozi again.
2. What Happens When You Delete
Upon verifying and processing your deletion request, the following actions are taken:
- Access Revoked: Your access to the Grozi mobile app via OTP, Email, or Google Sign-In will be permanently revoked.
- Personal Data Removed: Your personally identifiable information—including your Full Name, Mobile Number, Email Address, and manually entered Delivery Addresses—will be permanently erased from our active servers.
- Order History Anonymized: Your previous order history will be permanently deleted or strictly anonymized so it can no longer be linked back to you.
3. Data That May Be Retained
While we delete your active profile, certain data may be retained as permitted by law or required by regulatory authorities. This includes:
- Legal & Tax Compliance: Financial transaction records and past order receipts may be retained strictly for accounting, tax reporting, and compliance with Indian law.
- Fraud Prevention: Minimal identifiers may be securely hashed and retained to prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, or prevent abusive users from creating new accounts.
- Anonymous Analytics: Aggregated, non-identifiable usage data may be retained to improve our app's performance. This data cannot be traced back to you.
4. Deletion Request Process
To ensure the security of your account, all deletion requests must be initiated by the account owner. Follow these simple steps:
- Send an email to our official support channel from the Email Address registered to your Grozi account.
- Use the Subject Line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Include the Mobile Number linked to your account in the body of the email.

5. Processing Time & Verification
Once we receive your request:
- Identity Verification: Our support team may reach out to verify your identity (e.g., via an OTP sent to your registered mobile number). This is a mandatory security step to prevent unauthorized individuals from maliciously deleting your account.
- Processing Time: After successful verification, your account and data will be permanently deleted within 7 to 10 business days.
6. Third-Party Services
Grozi utilizes third-party integrations, specifically Google AdMob, Google Ad Manager, and Google Authentication. Please note:
- Any data shared with these Google services during your app usage is handled in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
- Grozi does not control, and is not responsible for, the external data retention policies of these third parties. You may need to manage your data directly through your Google Account settings to clear data held by them.
